Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nearly all desktops make noise. This is due to the fans needed to cool the processor and other components as well as the motor in the hard drive. If noise is a concern you can look into purchasing a computer with a solid state hard drive and upgrading the fans to ones that are rates as quiet (around 7dB. There is a premium cost for the parts for these upgrades but they would completely eliminate the sounds you are used to hearing.
