That is true. The graphics card required to run today's games at high settings @ 1080, is significant. 4k is approximately 4x that. The integrated graphics will not cut it at that resolution. You can probably play games at lower resolution, but not 4k. External graphics cores are a newer technology for attaching high powered desktop graphics cards to laptops, however they require specific connections. One example, the Razer Core will work with laptops with a thunderbolt 3 usb-c connection, it comes out in June. I'm not sure if this laptop has thunderbolt 3.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, a dedicated graphic card and HD 4K display, are two different things. Look at the game's minimum requirements and check the recommended graphic card. The game may run but it will eventually lag, shut down and throw a tantrum.
