Ok, this is what you really need to know. This computer doesn't have a dedicated graphics card which means if you're gonna be running any CAD softwares like AutoCad or solidworks, it may not run quite as smoothly as it would on a machine with a graphics card. That's the only downside to this computer. So, if you're studying mechanical engineering look elsewhere. Electrical, civil, computer science and whatever else you may be studying should be just fine.
