If you upgrade to Windows 10 Pro you can then run Microsoft's Hyper-V virtual platform that allows you to easily spin up Virtual Machines where you can run additional instances of Windows and Linux on this laptop. Do your browsing and try out new software on a VM while your actual Windows environment remains pristine. You can create checkpoints and restore a VM back to a specific checkpoint or completely wipe a VM out and create a new one altogether if something adversely effects the VM's operating system (ie, a virus, corruption, failed updates, etc, etc). Create separate VMs for development, browsing, video editing, etc... Peace of mind and takes only a few minutes.
