Can you play the game SIMs on this laptop? null

My daughter got this laptop to play Sims 4 on it and it worked for a while. She put some custom content and modifications on it - and it completely froze even trying to open the Sims 4 game. I tried factory resetting several times so that it could at least go back to where it was without all the specialized content and that is not even working. I asked a Best Buy rep and they said that for a Sims game to work that 8 GB would be a better bet if there will be mods and custom content added to the game.
