I bought this model also and the HP docking station does not power the computer through the USB-C port, nor will an external HDMI monitor work through this docking station. When I researched further, the computer USB-C port is data only and I couldn't figure out the monitor issue at all, but it seems to be with many of these laptops.

Yes, this docking station is compatible with the 15-dy5037dx, which does have a USB-C port that supports data transfer, but does not support video output. And yes, this docking station does come with a power supply.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your laptop has USB-C (most new ones do), this should be compatible. This docking station comes with its own power supply, which also powers the laptop when attached.
