Since there is no complete agreement on the RAM segment to this question, I checked five different websites, in addition to the HP website itself. HP is not definitive, because it releases many different variations on the basic model (15-fa1000), and you need the specific serial number to get past this, so I also checked the Communities (user questions and answers). Counting HP Communities, 3 out of 5 sources say 64GB is the maximum RAM, while the other two state 32GB is the maximum. For gaming, I would think 32GB would cover any possibility (at least at the present), but at worst, if you couldn't upgrade to 64GB, you could just return any purchase. My thinking, however, is that HP itself will only guarantee the conservative 16GB, but you can probably go to the full 64.
