• Jojo, thank you for your question about this HP Victus laptop! This laptop is compatible with any monitor that has an HDMI port or a DisplayPort connector. One of the USB-C ports supports DisplayPort. From there, you can use any resolution or refresh monitor.

• You have it backwards. It's the video card (actually a chip on most laptops, including this one) that has to be compatible with the maximum specs of the monitor. This laptop will support at least monitors with FHD (1920 x 1080) @ 144 Hz, so probably 4k@60 Hz and 8k@30 Hz, possibly more.
