I have the earlier model of this laptop, 2 / 32, and downloaded Apache Open Office which mimics Microsoft Office and can open and save Word and Excel files in both formats. I use the laptop and Apache for my work when I'm on the road, both work great! I've also added a 32 gig SD card and that plus the laptop gives me all the memory I need.

Yes, but you're going to want to buy an office 365 subscription because googledocs will drive you crazy when you're transferring your work from computer to computer.

Yes and no. This computer is more for online cloud storage that is why it only has 32 gigs. You might want to by an external hard drive or a flash drive with this laptop.
