Yes, according to the company's website, "To use Ultra Mobile service, you will need an unlocked GSM phone, which accepts Regular, Micro or Nano SIM card." The Mate 9 is a GSM phone that uses a Nano SIM.

Never herd of the ULTRA plan, but if it's a US/Canada based GSM provider, it'll work.
