“Earlier someone asked if this watch was waterproof. The Customer Care Rep said no it is not but others said it was water resistant. Would someone please clarify? Thanks in advance.”

Waterproof is a higher rating and means that the watch can be fully submerged at varying depths depending on rating. The Huewai Watch is water resistant. Something like the Pebble (RIP) is waterproof and you can swim with it, for example.
