Thanks for reaching out! With each new Normatec device that is launched, our team does work to make them as quiet as possible. Our Normatec Elite system is our newest device and has the most advanced technology in it to date. As a whole, the control unit on the Elites will be quieter than the device you received in 2019. Also, to note, you may hear a difference due to where the control unit is located. The Normatec Elite has the control units built into the sleeves and may be closer to you than the older Normatec control units since those had a separate system and connection hose.
