Have been using these for a week or so and have been super impressed with this so far. Was looking initially at the Normatec 3 a few months back. Liked the whole package (with legs, hips, and arms) but seeing all the hoses and attachments made me feel that I would likely use it a week and put it aside. When I saw these get released, it seemed like it almost resolved all the main issues I initially was researching with the Normatec 3. Pros: - I love how easy it is to slip on and use. The controls make it super simple to start a session without need to connect a phone. The boots initially start the air fill from the feet and work its way up to the thigh. Overall, a 15 minute session feels very beneficial without taking too much time. - The battery life is much better than I was initially thinking. There are 4 battery indicators and I can do about 45 minutes to 1 hour before the indicator goes down. - The compression is very good for not needing any external compressor. I have thicker legs so a 5-6 (scale is 1-7) work pretty well for me Cons - The air doesn't completely deflate after its done so putting it away can be more annoying as it doesn't fold easily with the air. - Legs can get a little sweaty while in there. Don't really see a great way around this - The noise level is not bad but definitely are not quiet. Haven't tried other boots so can't compare the sound levels. - These are quite pricey. They are a few hundred more than the Jet boots by Therabody for similar function. These look much more compact and Overall: My wife loves using these for day to day as a way to compress and relief any leg soreness. We go golfing a lot and walk the course so this is a great post routine to relax the leg muscles.

I've been using the Normatec Elite on a daily basis for the past week. In an attempt to gauge the effectiveness of this product as a useful recovery aid, I ramped up the intensity of my leg workouts all last week. The aim was to try and promote muscle soreness to see if I felt a difference while using this product. Since I typically vary the intensity of my workouts throughout the year, I've become very familiar with how my body recovers (without the use of a recovery aid) using the same level of intensity that I employed this past week. My typical leg workouts, while using this product, consisted of 2 to 5 mile runs, barbell squats, leg extensions, lunges, leg presses, calf raises, air squats, squat jumps, and romanian deadlifts. While I may not be able to objectively prove that the Normatec Elite air compression recovery system truly helped my leg muscles recover more quickly, I can confidently say that they sure made my legs feel more rejuvenated and "fresher" the day after an intense workout. In terms of construction, design, and build quality, the Normatec Elite feel extremely durable. As a previous owner of the Normatec 3 Legs system, these new Normatec Elite's offer the same top tier construction I've come to expect from the Normatec product line. The fabric, while being pliable, feels like it can sustain abuse for many years to come. I don't see this tearing even with hard use. Different elements of the leg coverings seem very finely stitched and the zippers feel very heavy duty. I'm a 5'9 male weighing 180 lbs with a 32 inch inseam and the leg coverings fit me absolutely perfect with a bit of space left over. For reference, Normatec states that these will fit people with a height of 5'4 - 6'3 and a 31-35 inch inseam. They fit just right for me without feeling too big or too small. The only thing that I wish Normatec would improve upon is the comfort of the inner lining. While I really like how comfortable this device feels when I'm wearing joggers or athlete leggings, whenever I decide to use it with just shorts or underwear, there are some contact points that feel a bit abrasive or rigid against the skin. I would have loved for Hyperice to include a softer yet still breathable inner lining for added comfort against bare skin. I'm a huge fan of the new hose-free attachment air compression system. Coming from the Normatec 3 Legs, while I always loved the massive control unit, I always felt the hose attachment system was a bit cumbersome. I love that I can now freely sit on my recliner couch without any hoses or bulky attachment systems cluttering my surrounding space. I'm also happy to report that even though we get a more streamlined setup with the Normatec Elite, the power of the compression system has not been compromised. It's still as powerful as ever. I like that both shells for the legs now have their individual unit which controls the different zones, levels of pressure, and the amount of time you want to set for each session. I also really like that whenever you're operating one of the units to select your desired settings, it also applies the same settings to the other control unit. I usually like to do 30 to 45 minutes with a level between 3-5 (total of 7 levels of pressure). It's difficult to put into words just how soothing each session feels on your legs and feet; especially after an intense workout or if you're someone who's on your feet all day. It felt so relaxing on my legs that I even fell asleep during one of my sessions! One of my favorite features is "Zoneboost". If you have any soreness or aches in a specific area of your legs like your calves or quads, Zoneboost will apply additional pressure to those specific areas. After every treatment, I did feel like my legs felt significantly "fresher" and more rejuvenated the next day. It's obviously difficult to say how much of this may have been placebo but I am convinced that there is a difference to how my legs felt the next day. I think consistency is key with recovery aid products like this. One thing that really surprised me is not just that my legs felt more relaxed and refreshed the next day, but how much more refreshed my feet felt. I was also impressed by the battery life on the control units. I used this for 7 days straight, 30-45 minute treatments a day (sometimes even two treatments a day), and at the end of the week, I still had 3 out 5 circular indicators of battery left. Overall, I think the Normatec Elite compression system can be used as a useful recovery tool for anyone that is hard on their legs. I think marathon runners all the way to your average gymgoers could get some serious relief with this. While I'm a big fan of the slight improvements on the Normatec Elite over their previous Normatec Legs 3 compression system, I would have loved to have seen a more premium inner liner for those bare skin sessions. If you're a fitness enthusiast or just happen to be on your legs all day, I highly recommend giving your legs some much needed relaxation with these!

These are amazing so far and after numerous 30-minute sessions, my legs feel outstanding. I’m a light runner, but have no shortage of leg pain even on a daily basis. I fly a lot for work and while I’m not active enough to carry them with me on business trips yet, it's nice to know it’s an easy option when I do bring them along. My wife has circulation problems and she said they make her legs feel amazing. Running, biking, standing, post-workout recovery are all sorts of things this product can help with and I’m glad they can do it without being fussy since it’s all-in-one. I have never used the prior model with the tubes, but I cannot see how they would be missed…these are so convenient since it’s 100% tubeless. The all-in-one design of this product means packing it for travel is simple; just fold them up, grab the charger, and put them in the included travel bag and off you go. Only extra thing you would have is the diminutive charger, which tucks neatly in the included travel bag. The two independent controllers are in-sync as long as you start them at the same time, on the same program/strength. Once the app product selector is available for this model, I wouldn’t be surprised if the app can sync them; I’ll have to see once the app has this model loaded. They are of seriously high quality construction/well-built and look/feel expensive (in a good way!). Definitely see getting many years of use, however I’m not sure if the battery packs are serviceable. You set the time and strength, press start, and each ballast methodically fills from bottom up, applying gentle, steady pressure from your foot to your upper thigh. It then oscillates up and down your legs in various patterns. The air ballasts introduce an impressively firm pressure which feels like an actual person's grip, but in a very consistent manner. Impressive for something so slim and portable. The battery life is outstanding and pumps seem to sip power, so you could have many sessions on one charge. The actual sound of the ballasts filling is whisper quiet, making it easy to use when watching TV or reading. You may even be able to use these in bed without waking your partner. You hear a gentle humm as they fill with air, one-by-one, then a muted pssssshh as they deflate. No beeping or other annoyances, which is nice for use in quiet settings. They are comfortable but men may need to widen their legs as the leg ballasts fill towards the top of your thigh. This advice is amplified if you are on the shorter side of the inseam requirements. Also, if your doorbell rings while wearing these, you aren’t instantly jumping up to open the door, but with a quick deflate and zip, you may make it in time :) I am in the recommended inseam size range but they still feel a bit too long and ride up pretty high on my thigh. On that, it would be nice if you could temporarily disable the top-most ballast around your upper thigh so shorter legs can fully seat their feet in the base of the boot, heels touching the boot bottom, and the tops of the legs can be folded over, shortening the entire leg. Overall, t's like a personal on-demand masseuse that you can carry with you anywhere. Long battery life, a small charger, and a travel bag makes this easy to take anywhere, even on flights. I will get a lot of routine use out of this device and can easily recommend it to anyone with legs! :-)

    Wonderful Concept that Works Great!

My first knowledge of, and experience with, pneumatic compression devices or PCDs was through the medical field. The basic concept, one of the inflatable garments for bodily limbs that are filled with compressed air using a pneumatic pump, has saved many limbs, prevented blood clots, promoted healing, and saved many lives. Used in the medical field, particularly after major surgeries that often involve amputations or limb reconstruction, PCD garment sleeves, whether for feet, arms, or legs, are attached to a pump and cycled through a series of variable pressures of inflation and deflation to assist blood circulation. PCDs work to reverse edema and help people with low circulatory systems boost blood flow. Blood flow is imperative and critical for any healing process, and PCDs work to assist the healing process and, in some cases, make healing possible. The company Hyperice has applied this technology to a series of products for the athletic world by designing and applying the PCD concept to refresh, revive, and help athletes with muscle recovery. Their NormaTec Pulse technology uses three key technologies to maximize recovery: pulse, gradient, and distal release. Using this technology, Hyperice has marketed their latest invention - the NormaTec Elite. The NormaTec Elite is a premium dynamic air compression for the foot and leg. This design is an integrated system with dual batteries that can be paired and work with Bluetooth through the Hyperice app or by the battery control integral to each foot and leg garment sleeve. When paired, the two-leg boot compression devices are synchronized. There are no hoses, no extra wires, etc., just two leg boot compression sleeves that each zip from toe to top of the thigh, and each has a built-in battery control. The intensity, duration, synchronization, etc., can all be operated on each battery device that is integrated into each leg boot. The product comes fully charged, and mine finished charging the maximum in under 35 minutes. Fully charged, the batteries are designed to function for up to four (4) hours. The legs boots are marketed and packaged already Bluetooth to each other. They can charge simultaneously with the included dual charging cable. The leg boots can be unpaired and re-paired depending on personal needs, but it is important to have them work in synchronization and inflate with the same pulse, at the same rate, for the same amount of time. When paired, setting one control sets both leg boots. Three different adjustments can be made before beginning any session. The first adjustment is the level of intensity, which can be set to any of the seven levels built into the controls. The second adjustment allows for setting the amount of time for each session. Time can be set in fifteen-minute increments up to the duration of one-hour treatments. A third adjustment can be set to determine the zone burst that can occur during the set workout. Again, setting up to five zone bursts per session depends on the user's desire. During each session, the Hyper Sync technology enables a symmetrical massage that temporarily increases circulation and works to relieve minor aches and pains. Instead of using static compression (squeezing) to transport fluid out of the limbs, Hyperice pulse technology uses dynamic compression because their research showed that the pulsing action is more effective because it mimics the legs' and arms' natural muscle pump. This pulsing action enhances the movement of fluid and metabolites in the limbs after intense workouts. Because veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent fluid backflow, these devices hold pressure to prevent fluid from being forced in the wrong direction, and they are designed to deliver maximum pressure in all zones. The result is reduced soreness after workouts and assistance building endurance for consecutive workout days. Because extended static pressure can be detrimental to the body’s normal circulatory flow, the pulse technology releases the hold pressures once they are no longer needed to prevent any backflow (distal release.) By quickly releasing the holding pressure in each area, each part of the limb gets maximum rest without noticeable pauses between compression cycles. This design combines to enhance the body to do what it naturally does but takes it to a higher level for maximum recovery. I have used these six times, and each time, I have increased either the intensity, duration of the workout, or the number of zone pulses through the session. The garment sleeves are extremely easy to use since they are battery-operated, and the battery control unit is integral to the garment sleeves, eliminating hoses, cords, pumps, etc. This sleek design aids in ease of use. I had a serious accident a couple of years ago, and my foot had to be reattached to my leg with a lot of hardware. It has healed very well because of a skilled surgeon's care and my dedication to exercise, but the accident has given me a new challenge of intense, regular muscle cramps. After using this device, my legs, ankles, and feet are more relaxed, and nighttime sleep has improved. The use of this device makes my legs feel better in general, and I am happy to have it.

The Hyperice Normatec Elite compression boots are amazing in easing soreness and improving recovery. I strength train 5 days a week, work horses and other heavy lifting farm work, and occasionally fit in some hill runs. This leaves my legs fatigued and sore at least three days every week. I've been using the Elite compression boots for almost a week now and have seen significant improvement in soreness and ease of mobility the following day when I use them the evening prior. In the box are the boots, "Y" power charger, and carry bag. Setup is plug and play, there is a Hyperice companion app with recovery routines, and connected health functionality. I don't find it necessary to have, but there is some interesting content for education and recovery. The boots arrived almost fully charged, and showed full battery within 20 minutes of charging. I was able to use every night for a week prior to needing to charge again. Using the boots is easy, they are directional, with L or R shown on the top pulls for each boot. The zipper runs the full length of the boot, all the way to the toe seam, so you can lay them out on a bed or chair, place legs in, and zip up. The zipper is well made and will survive being tugged on if you can't easily reach your toes. The boots come paired, this means if you power them both up they will recognize as a set and you only need to use one controller to adjust the settings, note that you can use the boots paired or individually / unpaired, the software allows for both options. The settings on the controller are compression level, time, zone boost, and start / stop. Once boots are powered on each setting has its own button to toggle through the options. Compression has 7 stages from mild compression to fantastic work out the soreness full compression, to baseline, the total pressure range is 30-100 mmHg, and up to 110 mmHg for the Zone Boost function. Setting the duration is easy, the timer goes in increments of 15 minutes, up to one hour and shows the remaining cycle time on the controller screen (see photo). A nice feature is that if you're mid-cycle during the timer ending, it will complete the cycle prior to shutting off. Lastly is zone boost, prior to the Elite boots I haven't used personal compression boots that have this feature, and I find that this feature really helps me hone in on target areas. There are a total of five zones, which you can see by ribbing on the outside of the boot (see photo). When you select a zone, the boots will then compress as normal with extra compression at the zone of choice. This means if you have a sore calf, quads, arch of your foot, etc you can focus the compression where it's needed. Build of the boot is simple yet sturdy, there is a flap with the controller module on it, inside the flap are where the air lines run to each zone. The fabric is thick, stitching for each zone is reinforced, and ultimately the boots feel very sturdy without being bulky or cumbersome. The benefit of this design is that there aren't any hoses in the compression area, giving uniform pressure across and up the boot. Amazingly, when done, they lay flat and fold up into a drawstring carrying bag for portability. If you haven't used a compression boot before, the principal is straight forward, when it turns on the boot starts filling air chambers from the toe and working up, as each chamber fully inflates the air is directed to the next chamber until compression is achieved uniformly up the boot. I am 5'5" with fairly wide legs for my height so these "normal" height boots encompass my entire leg, however the flexibility in design means that my 5'4" teen and my 6'1" husband can both use the boots and experience the same benefits. When I use the boot, I feel that the muscle soreness subsides almost immediately after a 30 minute or longer session. I also find that the next day I'm not as stiff and able to move fluidly without feeling constant muscle pain. One other unexpected benefit of a compression boot is relief from varicose vein pain. I have a significant patch of varicose veins across my upper calf, when this area swells and becomes sensitive, I can use the boot on any setting to help gain relief. Bottom line, I don't think you need to be serious athlete to invest in these boots, they are a great recovery tool for those who work physical jobs and are looking for relief of constant muscle soreness. On the flip side, I have added this as a mandatory cool down on every leg day to the point that I no longer dread heavy lifts knowing that the soreness won't linger.

The Hyperice Normatec Elite Compression Boots are the latest addition to their line of compression boots, featuring key upgrades that enhance portability and usability. For serious athletes, the importance of timely and effective recovery gear cannot be overstated, as it significantly reduces recovery time and helps prevent irreversible muscle damage. As an avid runner and member of a training group, I have always emphasized the necessity of a good warm-up and recovery routine. I’ve been a long-time user of Hyperice products, particularly the previous generation Normatec 3 compression boots, which I appreciated for their science-backed technology. The new Elite model, with its integrated system and lack of hoses or control units, makes it an ideal travel companion. One notable advantage is that the Normatec Elite qualifies for medical expenses and can be purchased using HSA/FSA funds. Key Criteria: When evaluating sports therapy products, I focus on durability, customization options, and innovation in pain treatment. The Normatec Elite Compression Boots excel in all these areas, maintaining their position as market leaders in recovery therapy innovation for athletes. Key Features: 1. Design and Durability: ○ Constructed from premium materials and built to last, these boots are of high quality. I expect the integrated battery to last several sessions. So far, I’ve used it three times (30-minute sessions) and still have 75% battery remaining. Having used several Hyperice products for over seven years, I can attest to their consistent performance and quality. The boots feature five overlapping chambers for precise compression. I have the standard size, and it provides a comfortable fit. I weigh 172 lbs. and stand 5.8 ft tall. Typically, I use my compression boots 2-3 times a week for 30-45 minute sessions. 2. Customization: ○ The customization options are impressive, allowing adjustments for pressure level, zone booster, and time selection. The accompanying app provides additional settings and preprogramed routines such as warm-ups and post-workout recovery, which are easily accessible and highly beneficial for targeted muscle relief. I am still waiting for the app to support the new Elite compression boots, and I expect it to offer the same settings and features as the Normatec 3 product. 3. Technology: ○ Featuring Hyperice’s patented precision pulse technology, the Normatec Elite targets five overlapping chambers to deliver precise compression. This enhances circulation, reduces soreness, and speeds up recovery time. This new technology is an improvement over the previous Normatec 3 model, now without the need for cords or a control unit. I've noticed a significant decrease in both inflammation and soreness in my legs following endurance runs when I maintained a consistent warm-up and post-workout routine. Over the years, my recovery time has decreased, allowing me to resume training the next day. The new Elite design's enhanced portability ensures the Normatec Elite will be my go-to travel companion. In conclusion, the Hyperice Normatec Elite Compression Boots are a top choice for athletes serious about recovery. Their innovative design and effective technology make them a valuable tool in reducing muscle damage and enhancing performance. I highly recommend the Elite version for anyone who wants a reliable companion for warm-ups and post-training recovery.

As someone who has already embraced the targeted calf relief of the Normatec Go, I recently ventured into the more comprehensive Normatec Elite for full-leg recovery. Here’s my detailed review based on the experiences of my wife and I: Design and Usability: The Normatec Elite eliminates the need for a separate control unit and hoses, a feature that was prominent in older models like the Normatec Legs system. This integration is a huge plus, making the setup cleaner and less cumbersome. The Elite boasts independent controls for each leg, similar to the Normatec Go, with the same convenience of automatic synchronization. This ensures that both legs receive equal pressure and timing during the massage which, believe me, is very important. Charging and Portability: One design element that could be improved is the charging system. The Normatec Elite uses a barrel plug, which, while functional and allows for charging both legs simultaneously, lacks the convenience of USB-C charging. A switch to USB-C could significantly enhance the portability and ease of use. The last thing I want to do is leave a proprietary plug in some random hotel! The good thing is that with a 4-hour battery life I think we can leave the charger at home for most out of town adventures. Fit and Comfort: The “one-size-fits-all” approach of the Normatec Elite is impressive. Despite the substantial difference in our body types—my wife being 5'4" and slender, and myself a 6'3" brute with an offensive lineman build—the Elite managed to accommodate us both. Although I experienced some difficulty with the zipper at the upper section, the overall fit was remarkably versatile. Performance and Effectiveness: The Normatec Elite begins its massage sequence at the feet and methodically works its way up through the ankles, calves, knees, and upper thighs. Interestingly, while I found the compression on the feet to be incredibly soothing—particularly beneficial after standing all day—my wife thought it was somewhat tight. However, she found great relief in the compression provided to her thighs and calves, areas where she often experiences tightness due to running. Despite our differing sensitivities, both of us observed significant benefits from using the Elite, making it evident that it will become a regular part of our recovery routines. In conclusion, the Normatec Elite is an excellent choice for both personal and shared use, providing customizable, effective leg recovery in a user-friendly format. Whether you're an athlete like my wife or simply seeking everyday comfort like me, the Elite adapts to diverse needs, making it a top recommendation for comprehensive leg therapy.

The Hyperice Normatec Elite is a game changer in the compression recovery arena. • Packaging – The box is minimalistic and only contains a small section on the back with pertinent information. Everything inside is nicely packaged and is well protected during shipping. Included are two dynamic air compression boots, a wall charger, and a storage bag. • Setup – A small booklet is included with instructions on how to get started. The first step is to download the Hyperice App. Unfortunately, the Hyperice Normatec Elite is not available under air compression in the manage device section at the time of the review; however, I have other Hyperice products and will say the app is great for accessing additional features and extra customization. Pairing my other Hyperice devices was easy and only required Bluetooth to be on and near my phone. Within the app you select a routine and tap start. The app will then search for available devices. Select the device to connect. Next, the instructions say the boots should be charged. Both of my air compression boots came with a full charge with all 5 white battery status LEDS illuminated and solid. They claim up to 4-hour battery life. I have used them for several 30-minute sessions so far without needing to charge so their estimate seems accurate. • Usage – To start the session, put both air compression boots on. I just pull them up like putting on pants but if you have trouble they can be unzipped. Each leg has a small embroidered tag designating right or left. Make sure you don’t have anything in your pockets, especially something sharp as it could damage the fabric or be uncomfortable/cause injury depending on the level of compression you pick. Also, make sure they are fully zipped prior to starting. These can be used in pretty much any position, but I prefer sitting on the edge of my bench or reclining in a chair depending on the length of the treatment. Each air compression boot has an individual control unit, although, they are paired together by default so any change you make on one also changes on the other. This is an integrated system so there are no hoses! This is probably my favorite thing about them. Hit the power button, select the pressure level (1-7) and treatment time, and if wanted zone boost. The zone boost allows for increased intensity of a single zone if you want extra treatment to a specific area. The zones start at the foot and go to the upper thigh. You can get a rough estimate of each area by looking at the horizontal stitched fabric on the boots. With prior models there is also a diagram available on their website. After all settings have been selected press the start button. When the session is nearing completion the control unit will notify you. Wait 10-15 seconds once the session completes to allow them to deflate and prevent zipper damage. • Size – I picked the standard size: Inseam 31-35 inches, height 5’4-6’3. These fit great. I am 6’1 with a 34 inseam and weigh about 195 pounds. • Material – The compression boots are made of a durable material and have a sturdy zipper. After multiple uses, I have no concern that these will not last for years if appropriately cared for. As far as cleaning goes, make sure they are powered off and not connected to the wall charger. Use a damp, clean cloth to wipe them off and allow to dry. I store my in the bag and out of direct sunlight. Overall, I think these air compression boots are great. I really like the fully integrated design with no hoses or separate control unit(s). They work well and help improve recovery time after lifting. While they are pricey, they are worth the price.

From the 1st time I saw different variations of this style leg and feet devices, I always questioned if and how well they work. Well I'm no longer questioning, but I'm a true believer that the work and work very well. I love how long the rechargeable batteries last in these, one charge lasts me 6-8 uses before recharging is necessary. I assumed these ran off electric, but surprisingly they are battery powered. These work in conjunction of each other. So when you choose a setting on one leg, both legs respond to the setting change. I usually go with all 5 zones of massage and a level 4. These almost make my legs feel weightless after use, which is amazing. I'm a union ironworker by trade, and after many long hours a day per week in work boots. These really help me from the fatigue of being on my feet all day long. Most of the time 15 minutes of use is good, while other days 30 minutes feels great and is needed. These come with a battery charger and a carrying bag which is nice for travel and storage. I really do highly recommend these to anyone who works on they're feet all day and have demanding jobs like myself. These really are great with minimal effort for use.

I used the older style compression boots a few years ago and they were a novelty but with all the hoses and cords I had no interest in buying my own. Fast forward to now, I’m ramping up training for some longer races next year and already have occasional issues with water retention in my lower legs so I decided to look into getting my own compression boots for recovery. I was very happy to see these that no longer require all the hassle of the old ones! I’ve had them about two weeks now and have been very satisfied with the compression and battery life. The buttons on the sleeves work well to set compression level and duration, I haven’t done anything with the zone button yet. The app (at least on iOS) doesn’t seem to do anything you can’t do with the buttons so that’s not worth even downloading. (I’d hoped it might offer different programs but it does not.) I love that you can use them independently so if just one leg is bothering me I can easily use just one sleeve. The only slight negative is sometimes even after the time ends it keeps going thru a “finishing cycle” phase so if you only have 15 free min and you expect them to be all done at the end of that 15 min you might have to wait a few more min before they are actually done. I haven’t tried powering them off during that time, maybe that would be on option if you really had to pack them up at a certain time or something. Overall they are a bit expensive but they work well and seem well made so I’m happy with the purchase!

The Hyperice Normatec Elite are my first set of recovery “boots” but I have come to appreciate the new design and the features the integrated system offers. I was first pleasantly surprised by how small the packaging of the Normatec Elite was and the fact the boots can be folded into a small footprint and stored in the included bag. In the box you will find just the boots, bag, and Y-cable charger that can simultaneously charge both legs or boots. Out of the box, the boots were slightly heavier than I anticipated, but that isn’t too surprising considering each boot has its own pump and battery. The included bag does the job, but it feels slightly cheap for an “Elite” compression system. Hyperice has redesigned their well known Normatec recovery boots to no longer rely on an external pump and control unit. In doing so you no longer need to connect each leg to the bulky control unit as each one has an integrated pump, battery, and control unit. The Normatec Elite also features their HyperSync technology to sync both legs together, so that you can control the system from either leg’s control unit. With HyperSync, both systems sync up to massage or compress in unison to provide a uniform and symmetric experience on both legs. As a standalone system, you have complete control over duration, compression level, and even zone boost which allows you specify a problematic segment or zone to target the therapy. With this being my first set of compression recovery boots, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I am not an active runner, although I spend equal amount of my time walking as I do sedentary at my desk. I do experience soreness and cramps periodically and read I could benefit from this type of therapy. Initially, the boots take some getting used to but after my first session I did feel they reduced the aches in my calves and knees. After trying different levels, I found that using a lower strength compression for a slightly longer duration was most enjoyable for me. During one session I set the compression level higher and I experienced some discomfort, so I don’t recommend going higher than necessary. Using the Normatec Elite for the past week seems to have reduced overall soreness and my legs feel better after each use. I also have yet to charge the boots, so the battery life is better than expected. At the time of this review, the Hyperice app has not yet updated to interface with the Elite so I was not able to customize the experience of the Normatec Elite. As a standalone product, it does a great job offering a dynamic leg compression system without the bulk of their previous product. The system works well and offers enough control on its own that I have enjoyed using the boots and recommend it to those who are interested in compression therapy but could benefit from the portability and ease of use the Normatec Elite provides.

I think I like them. The battery feature is really solid. I’ve been able to use them maybe 6 times before needing to recharge. The compression feels amazing in the foot/calf region but I don’t feel like it compresses enough in the thighs to make a difference. Rating 4 stars because the price is steep for these, but I enjoy using them so I’ll continue to use them.

My Normatec Elite have been my daily form of relaxation when i come home from either a run or just a long day at work. I love these boots and wish I would've gotten them sooner. The battery has lasted four to six 30 min sessions before having to recharge. They are easy to pack away and you can literally take theses anywhere. If you are a runner, athlete or simply just always on your feet throughout the day, these boots are a no brainer.

Very light and easy to use without the hoses and battery pack. I felt like the compression was similar to Normatec 3. But I returned it, however, because it wasn’t compatible with the hip attachment. If you don’t need the hip attachment, I would definitely choose the Elite over fhe Normatec 3 Legs.

I have been a big fan of these ever since I purchased them. They are very convenient with the built in pumps and no corded connections. Battery life is excellent, and they are easy to use with or without the app.

Hyperice - Normatec compression is a spa day for your legs—if the spa was run by a team of robots determined to squeeze the stress out of you. They hug your legs tighter than your grandma at Thanksgiving, and when they're done, you feel like you could scale Everest—or at least tackle the stairs without muttering your age.

As someone who works in the recovery and wellness field, I’ve tried several compression boots, and these are by far my favorite. The pressure levels are adjustable, the session duration is perfect, and the recovery I get after using them is unmatched. I use them daily after workouts and also with my clients — everyone loves how their legs feel afterward. Great for reducing soreness, improving circulation, and speeding up recovery. Totally worth the investment.
