The headphone still has the 3d audio functionality when plugged into 3.5mm. The controls are on the headphones themselves, no software needed. The headphones have a battery to help power the drivers so you will have to plug the headphones into a usb port from time to time to charge them though.

Please try again later.The only functionality that you lose by using the 3.5mm headphone jack is the ability to access the cloud orbit software (which the equalizer is only changeable on there) but all the features is accessible by the buttons on the headset itself.
