Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Best sounding Gaming Headset I've tried and I recently returned the Steelseries Artic Pro's because of a fitting issue. Great concept with the motion detecting 3D sound sound and will work if you have 49" widescreen monitor or console gaming on a 75" inch TV but for my set which is a 27" high refresh rate monitor there is not enough head motion to activate the feature. I did try this with my HTC Vive great for VR shooters. Overall if your ok with paying for premium 100mm drivers and sound its a great buy.

Best Sounding Gaming Headset With Drawbacks
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5I have an Arctis Pro Wireless and Pro + GameDac, have had a Razer Nari Ultimate and the newer Astros, Logitech, other HyperX, etc etc. Pretty much if it has been a top tier gaming headset for any platform, I have it or have owned it and weighed these against that competition. These are basically a rebranded Audeze Mobius minus the bluetooth with a HyperX logo. These do not feel like a HyperX product which are normally SUPER comfortable. The sound and especially 3D Audio these provide is better than anything else on the market for a gaming headset. If you want anything better for audio quality than these you would need expensive audiophile headphones that are thousands. Given this, price seems more than fair. Pros -Best Sound Available -Best 3D Audio Surround Available -Best Positional Audio for Competitive FPS Available -Good Build Quality Cons -Hurt my head after an hour -Wish it was wireless -Leather Ear cups not breathable -The S version isn't worth the extra $30 -No equalizer available. Bass is lacking in Music a bit. TLDR; Best in pretty much every gaming headset audio category, however the discomfort in even short gaming sessions caused me to return this. If they ever made a wireless and more comfortable version, it would be the best headset ever.

Sound quality is excellent
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5I wanted to say that this headsets sound quality is far better than any other gaming headset I have ever purchased. In my journey to these I had used Cloud Stinger, Cloud II, Revolver S, Logitech Pro G, Steel Series Arctis Pro Wired DTS v2. These sound better than my stand alone Beyerdynamic DT 770 as well. The planar magnetic drivers are what make these shine. I want to first state that I am half deaf from birth, I typically need to use a headphone amp for anything to sound half way decent to me. I do prefer my music loud, and for the first time, I am able to use these headphones without an amp, and be more than satisfied with the volume. From tests with co-workers on the mic, it appears to pick up more background noise than the Revolver S or Cloud II series. I don't know what they changed with this, but I wish I could find a way to get back to that same level of noise reduction, you could have a live concert going on in the background and no one would hear it. These pick up everything, but its a slight murmur from what my unfortunate test victim told me. I wish the USB C to C and 3.5mm cable these came with were braided like the USB C to USB A cable, seems like a small thing they could have done for such a premium headset price. However these are standard cables that can be easily replaced. The ear cup size feels like they are a bit smaller than the other hyperx series, they seem to clamp down a bit harder to my head as well. The size adjustment for these was ample for my large melon of a head.

A great sounding set of headset, best for PC.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I did quite a bit of research online before purchasing these. Coming from a Hyper X Revolver (stereo) headset, I was looking for an upgrade in fidelity that would also have some of the features that I like with other gaming headsets. Closed back was a big one for me, which made my search slightly more challenging. Many headphones in this range are open back, and I didn't want much sound getting in or out. These are planar drivers, not cone. I won't go into much detail other than to say these type of drivers produce a cleaner sound than dynamic or moving coil. The downside is they require power. This headset has a battery inside, which means it requires power. I have them connected via usb-c to my pc, but when connecting over analog you will have about 8-10 hours of listening before they need to be charged. You can hear them turn on, but when audio is playing you can't hear it. I'm trying to hear it as I type this with tv on my other screen. I could do without the headset telling me when I've muted, charged, or changed modes, but it's nice to know sometimes. It would be a nice option to turn that off. Microphone sounds good, plenty loud, and a mute switch is right on the headset, no in-line controller which is a plus imo. Mic is also detachable and has independent volume control also on the headset. Most of the buttons and wheel have multiple functions and may take some time to get used to. 7.1 and 3d mode both work well. I still prefer stereo most of the time but it's nice to have options...some games or movies sound really good in surround, but it depends on the source. Head tracking is pretty neat, and would be perfect paired with a vr setup. Looking at a flat screen you don't turn your head enough for them it to be practical...but it certainly works as advertised. Hi-Res audio mode is only available on pc, and is the best sounding mode on the headset. Stereo sounds good still when connected to your phone or game controller. It's definitely heavier than my old set, and fits a bit tighter. It was almost alarming how loose my old set felt after wearing these for the last three weeks. These are comfortable, thick ear and band pads feel nice, but they do clamp. If you are sensitive to pressure, you may find some discomfort. The band is adjustable and the cups turn and swivel. In conclusion, they sound amazing and they were well worth the price for that reason alone. They fit snug, which doesn't bother me but could bother some. This headset will connect to a variety of devices and offer convenient options. I don't really use the software, though like I mentioned before would be a great addition to a VR setup. If you want high quality audio with great features and no additional equipment, it's hard to find a better set. They're not wireless, but I wasn't looking for that.

Best headset I've ever owned
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Let me preface this by saying I've been looking for a new headset, for a LONG time. I've tried wireless, wired, you name it, I've tried it. Cloud Revolver/S, Alpha, Cloud 2, G935, G933, Corsair Void Pro, Corsair 70 Wireless, all with something here, or there that irritated me to the point of selling them and getting another set. I've had my eyes on these for months ever since announcement, but the price tag was something I've been rather hesitant on pulling the trigger. I picked these up about 2 weeks ago, and after putting them on and listening to some music, I was just floored by the quality of this headset. I've NEVER heard a gaming headset sound anywhere close to this level of detail. The highs, mids, and lows are all appropriately balanced, the base is really powerful, but not overbearing, and the surround sound is simply the best I've ever heard on a headset(normally I turn surround off, it's terrible). I couldn't recommend these more. I know the price is HUGE, but that's the only negative I can think of. If you're looking for a headset to last you a LONG time, this is the clear choice.

Good Premium Headset
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Wouldn't recommend at full price, but if you can get this headset at a discount, this is a great headset. As with most HyperX headsets, this is very well made, despite being a mostly plastic build. Sound is excellent, with multiple channel types accessible on the headset or through software. The 3D audio, although I feel is more of a gimmick than feature, works well depending on the application. Not all games will take advantage of this feature. Mic quality sounds clear, good enough for gaming chat.

One of the best gaming headsets
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I've been using this headset for about a month now and it's probably one of the best headsets I've bought. Sound is excellent (far better than logitech g pro x, and the corsair virtiosos), the mic quality is really good, I mainly use the hyperx quadcast and the difference between the two is mainly the sound compression from the headset (basically not as crisp as the quadcast but still great nonetheless). People are complaining that the headset clamp force is too strong but for my headsize I can comfortably wear them for 7 hours straight before my head starts getting sore.

Q: QuestionDoes the headset lose a lot of functionality if using just the 3.5 mm headphone jack? I am trying to find the best headphones I can, for the quest 2 and I really like the 3D audio and surround sound of this headset.
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer The headphone still has the 3d audio functionality when plugged into 3.5mm. The controls are on the headphones themselves, no software needed. The headphones have a battery to help power the drivers so you will have to plug the headphones into a usb port from time to time to charge them though.

Q: QuestionI currently use the Hyper X Cloud II headset and was wondering what the difference in fit is as I was blessed with a Stewie-like head. I have seen reviews that the top band becomes uncomfortable after 3-4 hours. Looking for some user feedback b4 buying.
Asked by TPFCDesigns.
- A:Answer I don't have a Stewie head but the Headphone band is comfortable enough. I've had it on for at least 3 hours and it didn't really bother me. You can always stretch out the band, put it over a pillow or couch cushions for a day or two and it will stretch.

Q: QuestionCan you get them in blue? I found a review on them where they had a different colour scheme, just wanting to know if they’ll ever be available, since this headset isn’t as popular as some of their other headsets
Asked by Kyle.
- A:Answer I believe those may be the Audizee Mobius headphones that you saw. They're wireless and bluetooth but go for 400. I've only seen these in black. They're the same in every way besides the bluetooth and wireless capabilities (hence the price difference)

Q: QuestionWhen I use this on a PS4, there is a buzz sound heard, especially with other players in game chat. It sounds like a lawnmower, or a car engine. Anyone else notice this? Can’t decide if I want to return or replace this set- sound quality is amazing!
Asked by ClosetGamer.
- A:Answer You need to get a ground loop noise isolator to cut out the white noise, they are on Amazon for about $10

Q: QuestionDo the headsets have a mic monitoring function? specifically when used on PC.
Asked by Sammyboy.
Q: QuestionDose this have a very good microphone I need a very good microphone is this the best of the best for being so expensive?
Asked by Customer.
- A:Answer I haven't used the microphone yet but from numerous reviews they all say the microphone is "meh". For these headphones it's all about the drivers and the 3d positional audio.
Answered by SACDM
Q: QuestionCan these be used as wireless as well or are they just wired?
Asked by YoiTzKeeKz.
- A:Answer They are wired only
