A:Answer No, you do not have to stay in front of the tv, unless you're plugging them into your tv as your only means of audio. If that's the case, maybe look into getting an adapter/extension to plug the headset into to give you additional length. Not sure if there is such a thing though. Another solution would be to check into a soundbar for audio if that's what you need it for. The cord itself is about 3 1/2 feet long. The cord plugs into your gaming controller and goes wherever you take the controller.
