QuestionI recently got my iDataStart Hc3.5 installed in my 2001 dodge durango but now my left side driver and rear doors wont lock or unlock, with the remote only the right side does and the trunk. Switches are good on the doors, is it the Aculators?

QuestionI had this installed yesterday by Best Buy on a 2017 VW Jetta with push button start. I tried to use the remote without my factory key FOB near by and it did not start. Do I need to carry both factory FOB and the remote starter FOB to drive my car?

- Answer Unfortunately, it will probably not work until you get rid of the engine codes. These systems are generally designed to not start your vehicle if it has a CEL.

QuestionMy remote doesn’t start now. What happened?

- Answer Any numbers of things. Make sure you don't have engine codes. Make sure you don't have blown fuses. I had a strange case where it stopped working after my battery died and I had to jump start it. The controller module needed to be reprogrammed to get it to work again. I called Idatalink and they confirmed it should continue to work after a dead battery so I'm not sure why that happened.
