Newer versions of Windows are generally better. My tablet automatically updated to build 1709 immediately upon setup and then auto-updated to build 1803 with no problems. Given that this device only has 32gb, deleting previous installations is recommended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If after the update you are functional then yes by all means delete the previous versions. You rarely do a rollback with Windows. Not too mention Microsoft puts you in a catch 22. They force you into updates and if you rolled back it would force you into updating again. You should do a system files cleanup after every update to maintain performance. But only after a day with the update to be sure it is functioning properly.
