It depends on the card he uses for the trail cam and the size of the images. I use a microSD card in an adapter for my trail cams. Take the micro card out of the adapter and it will work in this tablet. My images are not that large so work fine. It might be slow if he has the trail cam set up to the highest resolution images. They might have sample images in the store on the tablet to try. I doubt they would allow you to put your own card in for testing the speed but one could ask.
