“How does this shredder do with unopened junk mail, like credit card offers etc... If you just drop the full envelope unopened into it?”

• The shredder won't cut it well! You still have to open the letter and feed each page in manually!...

• You will have to go one at a time, I shredded thick engagement cards, You don't drop the cards into anything. You insert the cards and it will automatically click on, grab the envelope and shred. I had no trouble with credit cards.

• Thick envelopes, esp with what feels like a credit card inside, I open -- just to be sure. I want my shredder to last at least 10 years! This isn't a professional office shredder; I can't afford that. So I'm as gentle as I need to be to keep this one working in top condition.

• Depends on thickness. I have shredded entire unopened junk mail/credit card offers and bank statements with no jambs. Also shreds credit cards and other plastic cards.
