“There seems to be a belt scheeching, not all the time but occassionaly. I oiled the first time today. Is this just a belt needing replaced. I have never overheated or overloaded the shredder. What could be the issue?”

When this Shredder is used continuously using (5) or more pieces of paper, yes, it does make that sound like a squealing fan best, but its not, its the heat which does built up. Just let the Shredder cool for a moment and don't over-load it which two many pieces of paper. Like all machines which has moving parts, metal parts do heat up and will expand and make some type of noise, really nothing to worry about, just don't over stress your Shredder putting too many pieces of paper into it at once!
