“I read that some people shredded credit cards in their envelopes with no problem. But I just read that it is not recommended to shred envelopes. Will envelopes damage the shredder? So far, it seems like a great shredder...very quite and fast.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They are concerned about shredder and the glue on the back of an envelope causing issues. If you feel the glue is dry and should not be an issue, I would shred the envelope too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it will shred envelopes just fine. I’ve placed them in there from junk mail that I received and haven’t had any issues. It’s a really good shredder as long as the envelopes aren’t very thick. Or have more than 10 pages of paper inside. You should be OK. It is better to flatten out your papers before shredding but if the envelope is then it only has one page and a credit card. You should be OK..
