No filters needed, it comes with its own screened filter

None, it comes with a mess filter that works just fine if it’s cared for. I love the coffee if makes and it only takes 10 mins to make a 10 cup pot. Tasty Tasty

I guess you don't really HAVE to use filters, but I do use paper filters cone shaped. Makes clean up faster without the mess.

Uses cone filters. Mine came with a reusable mesh filter that worked ok but would have been better with a coarser(not fine) grind. I only had basket filters on hand and grind my coffee fine for my other pot.

I actually use pre filled coffee filters. Just drop them in and let it brew.

Will accept standard paper filters, but it has a built-in nylon filter, so why waste money on filters you don't need?

I do not use a filter. But if you want to use, I would suggest the cone shape.
