- Answer You can use this as an ice bath, but keep in mind with an aluminum interior it can dent easily. Some others have a plastic liner which may be better suited for ice bath.

QuestionHow much clearance is required to have the lid open 90 degrees? I have 59" below a cabinet above. Is the lid counter-balanced such that it is self supporting if the lid is not fully open? I have the same question for the 10 cf and 14 cf freezers.

- Answer 60 1/2" with the handle. Before adding the handle the lid is 58 5/8" from the floor when open 90 degrees. It does sit at a perfect 90 when open.

QuestionDoes it really have 14 ft.³ interior room? I bought a chest freezer from Wayfair that was advertised as 10 ft.³ and it was in fact, 7 ft.³ interior. The 10 ft.³ was the volume if you measured the outside of it, WAYFAIR refused to discoun or take it back.
