A:AnswerI finally got through to Best Buy after numerous times of being routed to the wrong people. I was hooked up with a manager who within two minutes set up an exchange for me within the next 3 days. I agreed and was very pleased. Just goes to show you that you have to be lucky enough to get a compassionate person who will listen to you and do the right thing.

A:AnswerI'm satisfied that the unit would reset. As a freezer, I suspect the default would be zero if it didn't reset to something below zero. Absolutely no concern to me.
A:AnswerI am using this device as a refrigerator not a freezer but love having that option of both. The refrigerator is kept at 41 degrees and seems to work for us perfectly at that temperature. Very happy with the appliance
