• No, this freezer can work without the Wi-Fi connection and can be controlled using the touchpad.

• We’ve had the freezer for just over three weeks and haven’t used the WiFi yet. It’s been working just fine. If you want to be connected to your freezer and be notified of any issues with it you will need WiFi.
