“What is the degree change necessary for the compressor to kick on to start cooling? Ex: If I have the freezer set to level 3 (coldest) and it should be -11.2 degrees F, but it's now reading at 27.8 degrees F, when can I expect the compressor to kick on?”

It should already be adjusting the temperature. I don't hear a single sound from mine and it's set at the highest as well. I like my ice crystal clear and dry so I don't have to use an ice pick!
