- Answer We use brown rice in a cooker we've had for many years and use 2.5 cups of water to 1 cup of brown long- or short-grain rice. Normal auto timing.

- Answer 2.6 quart is the capacity of the pot. 14 cups is the capacity of the cooked rice. 7 cups is the capacity of the uncooked rice.

QuestionWhy is auto shutoff a description as a features if it doesn’t shutoff it just switches to warm and you have to unplug to turn off?

- Answer Once the rice is finished, the rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep-Warm mode. When finished serving, turn the rice cooker off by unplugging the power cord. Rice should not be left in the inner cooking pot with the Keep-Warm function on for more than 12 hours. Unplug the rice cooker when it’s not in use.

QuestionWhat is the least amount of rice that can be cooked? Our current cooker minimum is 2 cup rice and 2 cups water which is too much for just the 2 of us. I would like to be able to cook just 1 cup rice with 1 and up water.
