A:Answer Sorry, I'm not sure about it working on your wood floors. I bought it to vacuum near my guinea pig pens, as they make a raucous running around and kicking their bedding onto the floor. Also, when feeding them hay, the kids usually spill some onto the floor. The area is all carpeted, but it works like a charm. We have a rainbow vacuum cleaner for the heavy lifting, but it is a pain to constantly set-up for minor jobs. I'd recommend this just for the hand unit, as it has great suction power.
