It depends. If you are adding an SSD as an extra drive, you will need another SATA cable (this). If you are replacing a current hard drive with an SSD, you just use your old SATA connection (you don't need a new cable).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This can be used for a SSD in a desktop, it would be unnecessary for a laptop. However, I would recommend getting a SATA 3.0 cable for a SSD, because you won't be able to get the full performance out of your SSD, which is likely able to produce speeds of 400-500MB/s. Sort of like you hooked up a bendy straw to a fire hydrant.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, as the data transfer rate of 3 GBS is going to slow down your ssd.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SSD I got did not come with one and there were no unused ones inside the desktop PC. So, in my case this was a good option. But I would not say it was optional.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you will need a cable for your SSD. if you already have one,or if you get one with the SSD you are buying, you don't need to buy another.
