I found the same issue when I went to install mine and ended up using a knife to cut a bit off the side of this connector's end. Seems to work fine after that. SATA cables are not something I read reviews for before I go shopping so hopefully others do...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took a razor blade and trimmed a little bit of the rubber plug off. It was tight but it works.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I HAD SAME PROBLEM. I CHANGED THE ORDER OF PLUGGING IN THE SATA INTERFACE AND POWER CONNECTOR. IT'S TIGHT BUT WORKS.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found no such problem at all. It connected just fine with no interference. I connected the right-angle end at the motherboard, and the other end at the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know why they made it oversized either, but I used my pocket knife to trim it to the appropriate size. Be careful, though!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took sand paper and sanded the rubber next to the plug so it would fit better. Easy fix
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had problems plugging them in to any SATA Drive. To be sure, they are snug but fitting loosely would be unwise. I have been doing this both at home and at work as a computer scientist. Has never been a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
