• A:Answer I think it is actually 6 Gb/s, That is what is printed on the package. I connected my SATA SDD to motherboard with this cable. It worked well and I did not feel any lag. But the right angle connection was awkward. I always doubt it caused a strain at the connectors. So eventually I returned it. Of course it all depends on where your SSD Bay is placed.

• A:Answer I'm not sure what cables you were looking at but if its a generic no-name brand such as on Amazon, they do what they're supposed to but they aren't as durable as these. I've used both. This cable you'd only have to buy once where you'd likely have to be replacing the cheaper once every couple months or so.
