Sure, you can use it with anything but it is a small, bookshelf speaker. It's not going to have a powerful output. It would be great at lower volumes or as a surround or surround back speaker or even for a 2nd zone which is what I use it for. Max

I am using a Sony receiver / amplifier, i'm not sure of the wattage but it is an 8 ohm system. For a low end speaker I think it works pretty good and I am happy with its performance.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. I'm using it with Sony 100 watt amp @ 8 ohms and it sounds amazing. But you must have a subwoofer to fill in the low bass sounds. Set your amps crossover at 90 Hz. Set your sub crossover at full and volume at halfway. These little speakers sound as a good as my tower speakers and a tad clearer. Highly recommend them.
