• Because the seal is removable and easy to clean, the moisture does not stay there. It’s a good design.

• Yes this one doesn’t have a moisture collector but it is not a problem at all. You can wipe it off using a tissue because the amount of water is very little to clean. To me it is easy to clean than the one with moisture collector.

• Not sure the nature of your question, but are you asking about the steamer basket? Or would you be asking about some sort of collector for moisture? Either way, from our usage, the moisture just stays in the pot to keep the rice moist. Optional steamer basket is used for steaming veggies.
