QuestionTo dispense water and ice, when I press my glass against the lever to dispose either, why do I have to press the water button to stop the water from dispensing instead it stopping when I pull my glass away from the lever like majority fridges?

- Answer After everything was set up I had ice in about an hour or so. I have never run out of ice and let me tell you someone is always at the ice machine.

If the link does not work, go the the Insignia website, look for the refrigerator and find the area that’s says support and downloaded and hit the English button and you can download the PDF that way as well.

- Answer Ice makers are the #1 cause of problems on all modern refrigerators. It's easy to replace the ice maker on an Insignia. Order the parts and do it yourself. Yes you can!

- Answer To the wall to the front of the fridge is 34 1/4 inch, so depending how big are your counter tops on most counters I would say NO! this fridge has no handles they are built into the doors which is super nice.

- Answer I just pushed my fat greasy thumb onto the front door and there is no print. Nothing. So, I'd say it's pretty good. We have the white model not stainless.

- Answer Yes it has a button for each side and it will let you adjust them. It also has a quick freeze and quock cool function which is handy.

QuestionDelivered on 4/12, plugged in on 4/13 and not cooling at all as of 4/14. Everything lights up, water flows. Just not cooling. Not happy.

- Answer Clogged coils can cause poor cooling. Check to make sure nothing is stuck in the condenser fan and that it spins freely (models with coils on the back won't have a fan). QuestionWhat water filter does this use. The website is helpless. Ordered filters site recommended wrong size. Contacted chat ordered what they recommended, again wrong size. Anyone know what I should order? Tired of going to UPS store to return.

QuestionFreezer is set at -4. Does the ice tray under the ice ice maker supposed to be cover in frost . The ice under the tray is getting bigger, like the old refrigerators that had to be unplugged to defrost.

- Answer Mine is getting a small amount of frost. I would say about a 1"wide strip along the left side only. Not more than 1/8" thick.

- Answer Sorry. My refrigerator is perfect. I can not believe it cost less than a 1/2 of a like one made by GE. I do not know what causes your light to be erratic. Good luck.

QuestionHow do you adjust the temperature for the freezer? There’s only a button by the side of the door “hold up 3 seconds super cool”, what if we want a higher temp but not super cool? Why does the fridge beeping a lot and randomly, very often? Anything wrong?

- Answer To adjust the freezer temperature press and hold the Lock light for three seconds. Then press the Freezer Temp and it will cycle between the values +6 and -6. We keep it at +6 and that is cold. Same process for the fridge temp. All modern fridges make some noise as they cycle the air flow. Mine doesn't beep but it does make a mix of soft noises and it's usually due to the fan speed and the ice maker. The fan on the Insignia is pretty quiet even when on high and I'm fussy about noise. Not much can be done about ice maker noise - they all do it.
