- Answer No it does not make Sonic size ice cubes. My review has a picture of the medium cubes and the small and large don't differ much in size, only thickness.

- Answer Not really, I would say it is kept cool being inside of the machine next to where the ice is being made. Once the ice is made, it slides into the ice basket. The machine is made so that as the ice slowly melts in the basket, it drips into the water reservoir below. Last night I had a full basket and about 10 hours later there was only a few small pieces of ice left in the bottom.

- Answer Manual says "33 lbs. each day", so based on the math about 1.4 pounds per hour. Personal experience is only based on number of cubes, which on the large setting is 9 cubes about every 10 minutes, so 45 cubes an hour.

- Answer No. Water is poured in from the top of the reservoir. I have mine next to the kitchen sink and use our nozzle/hose or a pitcher to pour the water in.

- Answer Ours is also doing the flash green light when we shut it off to refill. I assume that’s what it’s supposed to do.

QuestionIs this portable Ice Maker easy to clean? We've had issues with a similar product in the past that made it not worth the hassle.

- Answer so far we have not had a cleaning issue. Have used several time and although we are on well water we usually run gallon jugs of filtered water to make our ice.

- Answer What I do is let it drop 3 or 4 batches and put them in a plastic container in my freezer for about 5 or 10 minutes. They will freeze solid, I break them up and throw them in my ice bin that is accessible from the front of my fridge. This thing is not perfect, nothing is, but it is so much cheaper than replacing the icemaker in a 20 plus year old fridge. It is a godsend to our family. I can fill my fridge ice bin in about 6 hours and roughly 3 quarts of water.

- Answer Lift out the ice catch basket and pour the water in the area that is under the basket. You can also just pour the water thru the basket as long as it is not full of ice.

QuestionCan this machine be kept and operated in a garage?

- Answer In the fall and winter I see no problems with using it in the garage. In the summer, I think the ice would melt too fast as it would be too warm. This maker does not have refrigeration to keep the ice cold enough not to melt. We use it in our kitchen and the ice melts and the water is recirculated to make more ice. It’s a pretty good little ice maker though. We’re happy with it!
