I researched this A/C pretty thoroughly before I bought it. The dB rating was 43 which is great for an 8000 BTU unit. Smaller traditional window AC units (5000 and 6000 BTU's) generally start out at 54 dB's. I haven't installed it yet, but I'm happy with what I see in the box AND that it includes the bottom brace bracket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fact it runs on a dual inverter means the loudest part on any ac is it's compressor not the fan. That being said it's dual inverter is way quieter than normal AC the fan is super quiet and then you have the u shape meaning the window and dampening material vs a normal AC where the compressor is not partially blocked by window etc. I added extra foam insulation materials as well and big gap filler from home Depot 5 bucks a bottle. If you want to really spruce it up at a mess screen on the outside vents to protect from and dust debris from getting in the exterior radiator coils.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Standing right in front of the unit, on high, 55db per the app on my phone. I can say that I bought one on a whim and 2 more after hearing the difference in operating noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure of the db rating, but I can tell you that you will barely hear it running inside and out doors It is almost the same . this is very quiet. I bought my second one this year for the bed room.
