I think it will be bright enough for your application. It comes with an in-line dimmer control, and at it's brightest setting puts out at least as much as a 40watt bulb in my opinion.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.WELL I CAN SAY IS THAT I DRIVE AN 18 WHEELER AND I NEEDED TO LIGHT UP SOME CABINETS AND IT IS REALLY BRIGHT SO MORE THEN LIKELY IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO SINCE IT IS MOSTLY WATER RESISTANT SO TRY IT OUT I WOULD SAY MORE THEN LIKELY
