No it will not. There is no device that will do that that I am aware of. The device that this plugs into (like your computer) must have 3.0 capability built into it. However, USB 3.0 ports are supposed to be USB 2.0 downward compatible so anything that you could plug into a USB 2.0 port should be able to plug into your USB 3.0 port and it will just run at USB 2.0 speeds. The only problem would be if your new computer did not come with at least one standard size USB port similar to what your HP printers and scanner uses, in which case you would need to by a USB plug conversion cable or adapter.
