“Can the port be used on a TV?”

• This is dependent on the TV more than the hub. If the TV can act as a USB host (as opposed to a client) then it may work. Some smart TV's can do this for sure, but there are others that cannot -- those that are programmed to just play photos or videos from USB keys for instance. You would be better served to contact the manufacturer of the TV and ask them.

• Depends on particular tv firmware. You have to try it your self with a friends hub first.
