“We have two tablets that require more than 1 amp to charge. I've tried charging on a lower amp powersupply before and it does not work. Will this charge a tablet that requires more than 1 amp on a single port? How about 2 phones and a tablet?”

This 'would' work for that, but it is a piece of junk and won't last. The one I bought only lasted 8 months. If there were no concerns about the quality or longevity of the device, it would work. This device 'should' put out 4 amps shared across the 4 hubs. So you could theoretically power four 1-amp devices at the same time. I just tossed mine in the trash, it won't charge 1 device at 1 amp after 8 months.
