That is one way to connect to sound bars. Another method is to connect to a sound bar with a digital optical cable. The optical cable method is recommended because it will give you better audio quality when compared to the analog method.

If not, a 3.5mm to RCA Y-cable will work fine. I connect my audio system to the TV using the 3.5mm output (double-sided into a 3.5mm input on the stereo)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should not have any issues connecting a soundbar using the 3.5mm audio out port on the TV. If the soundbar has red/white RCA connections, you can get a 3.5mm to RCA cable from best buy. These cables are common and inexpensive.
