Analog channels will be grainy, as it is the lowest standard of broadcasting the channels. Over the air channels with just an antenna will pick up HD channels and the picture is awesome!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most of any HDTVs don't do a great job with 480i content. But if she is worried about that she needs to go with a smaller size. The bigger the screen the more worst its gonna get. With the resolution of TV set. Find something 720p as it won't be as bad than 1080p
