• What I did was download the tv's app onto my phone and I used my phone as the remote because that remote has numbers.

• I realized the same delimma, but since I have cable I select cable box and then use that controller.

• The left arrow next to the round "OK" buttom displays all channels which can then be selected with the OK button.
