One of the best smart Tvs love the way it picks up the signal from my Sony blu-ray player and Apple TV. If those are powered up you can switch to them right on the screen of the tv no looking for source buttons. The search feature on the interface allows you to check across multiple Roku channels for cost to purchase movies and tv shows from one place or tells you what installed channel is streaming for free. Won't be replacing for a long time unless insignia makes something better

Overall I am quite satisfied with the product. Clear crisp video. My only issue is that the remote that comes with it is too simplistic. I would rather have a remote that has numbers on so I can quickly change channels. I have one want, the ability to connect with a 5GHz wifi router.

My wife's cat knocked our t.v. off and broke it. We walked into best buy to find a replacement. We chose this one because of the great picture, features and price. We still have the cat, so I didn't want to spend too much because we will probably have to replace this one too!

After I got it hooked up, and my son came by and set it up for me as I am as up to date on modern technology as a goat, the TV operates and performs flawlessly. Picture quality is great, sound is great.

Display was purchased for trade show and is used in office environment for playing marketing videos. The USB video controls could have more features like a loop option on a single file or on all videos on the media.

I purchased this TV to replace a 21 year old TV that finally died. So catching up with the digital times was a big deal. I wanted an inexpensive smart TV with bells and whistles. I looked at many brands of TV's but the Insignia just looked like a safe choice. I only wished that I could have heard the sound. The TV is lightweight and easy to lift. The picture is very clear, but the sound is very low, almost monotone and buried into the TV. I am so accustomed having that projected surround sound and it does not have that. we have to turn the volume all the way up and we are still not satisfied. We verified the sound setting was on stereo, but no change. Eventually, we purchased a sound bar that resolved the sound problem but created a new problem. The new sound bar blocks the signal from the TV if placed in the front and the TV blocks the signal of the sound bar if placed in the back of the TV. I think I might have to mount the sound bar in order to use it effectively. Now I have three remote controls to use.... 1 for the satellite, 1 for the TV and 1 for the sound bar. I will have to figure out a way to merge things to stop the confusion. Setting up was a bit challenging but was eventually done. I loved the Roku choices. It takes a while to set up all the channels you might be interested in. It does not have bluetooth. It has wifi and somehow sync nicely with my daughter's Samsung Galaxy Android tablet only. She plays movies on her tablet and it shows on the TV. My Trio and Dell tablets (android and windows) do not sync for some reason. I think her tablet has a software that is recognised by the Insignia TV for syncing that is not in the other tablets. Overall, I am contented with the purchase but not totally happy with the stress to use it effectively to its full potential. Too many cables and peripherals to purchase. It is supposed to be a smart TV after all. I will still recommend it because it has a lot of great features.

Good and Simple

Installation and setup of both the hardware and software was easy and no weird surprises came up. Being able to skip the online setup was convenient as there were some server issues making it a futile endeavor. I'm glad I was able to connect to my ps3 and computer despite the situation with my connection that day.
The video quality is good, i've got no color problems or complaints of any kind. I only used the in-built speakers briefly, but they seemed better than other integrated systems i've had before.
My only complaint, and reason for knocking a star off, is that it can be a bit too simple. Specifically the remote is too simple. The lack of number buttons is irrelevant to me as I only use the tv for streaming and connecting to devices. What bothers me are the three useless shortcut keys on the lower portion of the remote. These buttons are, effectively, advertisements for specific available apps that have partnered with Roku. They are non-programmable and one of the companies went bankrupt, turning it's button into a shortcut to alternatives for it's intended app. The "Netflix" shortcut button is relevant to me, though i'd prefer the shortcuts all be programmable.
In summary, the remote might come with a minor annoyance in useless keys, but the TV is great for the price and easy to set up and use.

I wanted a TV for my Home office. We don't have Cable (only Broadband) so the Roku feature was exactly what I was looking for. We have two other Roku boxes in the house and getting this device added into our existing setup was a snap. Picture quality is good as well as the sound. I think the TV overall is very much worth what I paid.
Why not 5 stars?
I'm spoiled from my other roku boxes and the remote controls that come with them. The "point anywhere remote" is a really nice touch (I know, how lazy have we got?) but the remote that comes with this TV isn't built like that. You have to pretty much point it right at the TV for it to work.
OK, so to be true, I doubt its the remote but more the IR receiver built into the TV (or Roku box) thats making the "point anywhere" option a reality but still its what I expected from something branded as "roku". I felt like it was a great little feature and one missing from this "roku TV"
Overall I'd buy this TV again. I've already sold my Mother on picking one up (You're welcome BB and Roku).

Purchase a Samsung smart tv with real browser , so slow and complicate , interface takes forever to open app's , switch to insignia tv because my kid's have insignia with roku tv on their rooms interface and app's work great Netflix is perfect, YouTube works awesome. What a big difference , and value . Samsung just more recognized brand but lame, compare with roku tv by insignia. Down side is bestbuy . So happy with the tvs that I decide to donate 5 units to non profit organization but my last tv was totally bad experience the item was open and finger prints all over the tv.open bateries and components but the tv was paid to regular price no advice from bestbuy about use item. So when kids on the foster home open the present I was embarrassed by the fact the tv is used. Contact bestbuy about that but no one contact me back . Thinking about return the item and demanding brand new product but I get back to the foster home but tv was already mounted to the wall. Bad on best buy but insignia make great affordable tv's.

I got the Roku TV because 1) Roku has a Time Warner Cable App that allows me to watch TV by streaming over wifi (still need to have a Time Warne TV subscription) 2) TIme Warner recently went all digital so I need to use one of its digital adapters and frankly the quality of the picture on a HDTV was not good. With this Roku TV I get great HD quality while watching Time Warner, Amazon, Netflix, etc plus I only need one remote instead of separate remotes for TV and cable box. Plus if I want to, I can just take the TV anywhere in my house and even to the backyard, plug in the power, and I'm good to go. One of the best electronics gadgets I've even purchased and price was great too.

This tv has everything you could ask for when looking for a low cost tv with good picture quality and smart features. The Roku feature is simple to use and adds hours of entertainment by itself that i have no need for cable. It has multiple hdmi ports, audio inputs, usb, and pc hook up. The size is perfect for my bedroom and the remote is easy to use. The cost is the best part. I am very happy. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is the audio quality could be better. Its not a dealbuster but could be improved a bit.

I am absolutely stunned by how quickly technology improves in just a few short years.
We actually purchased this set because while doing some wire untangling from our previous set (only about 2.5 years old) I actually DROPPED the other TV!!!
It turned out to be a blessing - I was not looking for a smart TV because I had just bought a ROKU the week prior from best buy, but couldn't pass this up at $279 bux! This would be the FIFTH Insignia TV I'd bought (3 of the five are for business related functions) and two for personal...
Well, I ended up returning the ROKU and using this. The set is light, the colors/functions are easy to adjust to your tastes, and the pic, even on streaming - is perfect. Lifelike, rich, no pixellation. 10 stars...I'm a Best Buy/Insignia fan for life.

I purchased this a TV for our home office, and it works great. The built-in WIFI allows us to place it almost anywhere as long as therd is power near. The picture quality to me is great, and there were a lot of pre-loaded apps to get started with. My only complaint is that sometimes in the TWC app the volume appears to be lower than normal, and I am always able to turn the volume up more :-)

Until now, I was a fan of Westinghouse TVs for their price/quality sweet spot. I didn't have much experience with Insignia for things much more expensive than headphones, but this was a really good deal ($250), even compared with non-smart TVs of the same size and resolution.
I already had a Roku stick but the interface and remote are much more responsive (it's IR not radio) and it has three HDMI ports, leaving plenty of room for the Xbox, gaming computer, and Bluray player. The picture is good--I sit about five feet from it and it looks great--and there are lots of options for customization in terms of picture profiles.
The sound is fine. I might get a sound bar, but I'm in no hurry. I like that it has optical out, especially at this price point.
