Best In Class TV For The Money

A great internet capable TV for the money. Setup was simple, the picture looks great and the sound is good too. I read the instructions and set the TV to start directly to the cable box, which fits our needs. When compared to other similarly priced high def TVs, this Insignia beats the competition hands down in many different areas.

TV itself is fantastic But roku owns the tuner and the remote is dedicated to roku and there is no number keypad for channels which u despise. No warning either. So u must scan up and down As I said the pic is great But no more roku for me I want to control the streaming myself

I compared this T.V. with Sony , Panasonic , and at least 4 other brands . I found the color to be" true to life" as opposed to the other brands that were to bright or over colored on screen , some seemed without clarity and ,the picture of the Insignia was also very clear . I felt that for the price this T.V. was the best value and met my needs

it a good tv but a i guess after a while, 3 years to be exact, it start to show a little wear and tear. for example, the previous pictures would stay on the screen even if something else is showing, brightness dims in and out which make it a bit hard to watch a show.

Purchased the Insignia 40" Roku HDTV for a family member. It's a great bargain for a smart tv. If you're looking for something basic, you can't beat the price. Plus it offers the Roku builtin. The remote is limited to 5 buttons plus a rocker for the volume. It can be tiring strolling through a lot of channels at times.

This is the first Insignia TV I have ever purchased. I normally go with the Sony's or Sharp or Samsung. The remote is very simply to use the channels changed quickly with no delay and the picture is great. The Roku is outstanding and signal is not lost like it was my Samsung. Great Product at an Awesome price,

Got this tv for a steal! Bestbuy upgraded my tv since the regular 40" wasn't in stock, smart functionality is fantastic. Crisp screen, very easy to set up and use!

We got this TV to replace a first generation LCD TV. Its been great and now I can have all of our apps on a small and very inexpensive device for watching movies from digital providers like Vudu, Netflix and more. Now my bigger TV is free more often. ;)

I purchased this TV for outdoors on my patio, so I didn't want to spend too much money. It was on sale for $250, and I received a $50 rebate from SlingTV for pre-paying a 3 month subscription. $200 for a 40", Roku-integrated TV is great. To my eyes, the picture looks great. I also like the way the home menu is laid out, with "Antenna" being another Roku channel. Things to be aware of: 1) The remote is a Roku remote. There are no channel buttons. To change channels while watching OTA antenna you must hit the left arrow to bring up the list of channels, then scroll up or down. It doesn't bother me, but it is different. I assume if you hook up cable or satellite you would just use their remote. 2) There have been a couple of times where the TV locked up. Not spinning wheel while streaming stuck, but like a frozen computer. This required me to turn off the TV manually, and turn it back on. My fear is this is something that might increase in frequency over time. As of right now, though, it's not that big a deal. One last note unrelated to the TV specifically. If you are new to devices like Roku, don't be shocked if a channel available on FireTV, or AppleTV isn't available on Roku, and vice versa. Roku seems to have the most comprehensive channel library relative to the others, but I was saddened when I realized I couldn't get Fox Sports to Go on Roku. No Copa America soccer outdoors for me. But they have BTN2Go while the others don't, so it's a trade off.

Love that this tv has Roku built in so no additional box to install. However I had to ask for help to get sound connected to speaker system. Not very good instructions for someone who is not tech savvy.

I admit that I am an idiot for a deal, but there it is. Plus the Roku works seamlessly. The speaker is poor when compared to the screen. Maybe one day the speakers attached to the tvs will be as good as the screens - dreams. Why should we have to take up extra space and buy separate speakers???

Just cut the chord to Cox cable and with this TV I don't miss them at all. I bought two of these for the bedrooms and an antenna in the attic. I have 49 channels off the digital antenna pluss all of the streaming I want... Wo wo

I wasn't sure how good the TV would be, but the reviewed steered me to this TV. The Integration of Roku was seamless and powerful. I can't speak for the quality of the picture compared to others. It was responsive and had a dual tuner as I still get analog stations from my cable company.

Bought the TV on sale and so far it is perfect for what I need. I use it in my basement and mostly just for entertaining when I have guests. So far so good. The Smart TV is useful since I don't havea cable box down there

Great tv. Hanging it on my wall was a two person job because it is a bit awkward. Setup was easy and took about 10 minutes. Setup was also pretty straight forward. Takes a little getting used to at first with the format. No problems so far with the tv. Only had for about 30 days.

Love having a smart TV, and this one works good. Not the best refresh rate which is why it is cheaper I know. Great for spare room or bedroom but wouldn't use as my main TV as there is a little shadowing due to slower refresh rate.

With Rokku built in it's practically a smart TV since it lets you mirror your phone screen to the tv screen. Inputs: 3 HDMI ports, Component, Composite, RF, USB 2.0. Output audio: Digital Optical, 1/8" headphone jack
