Not only was the price great for this TV but the setup easy simple. I am STILL exploring all the wonderful features and the various channels I can view, and it's great to be able to look at my Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and more on the big screen now. The on screen color is sharp and the size is perfect for the bedroom we placed it in.

I read the reviews on this tv before purchasing some good some bad but of course you can always return of your not happy and the price was great. The picture is great the sound is great so mine will not be going back to the store

I love this tv . It has got to have the best picture and sound quality in its price range. I have experienced a few "higher quality" tv's since I got this Insignia 40" Roku tv and none of them had an appreciably better picture quality. I have discovered that I can use a headphone-x-RCA cable to attach to my old surround receiver and use the 12' three way speakers in a surround package to achieve what I found to be exceedingly better audio than any modern audio package. The Roku player has been excellent at providing hours of enjoyable channels. I can highly recommend this tv to anyone wanting a good size screen with an affordable characteristic.

This tv was really simple to set up (even for a not very tech-savvy grandma)! I love the built-in Roku and use the Netflix and Amazon streaming all the time. This is my bedroom tv, but better than my living room tv! The picture is very crisp and clear. I was able to get this tv on sale for $254 -- a great buy for a 40" smart tv!

For the money you cannot beat this TV. I did not know much about the Roku service until purchasing this TV and I have to say I'm a big fan of this service. Since this TV is used mainly for the garage, it is great not having to hookup a Genie receiver everytime I want to watch TV while working out or working in the garage. Just go to one of the many apps and you have plenty of selection from the Roku. Not sure I would use a 60 Hz for my main TV but it has a nice clear HD picture.

I picked up this television for a new garage I'm building. I am impressed with the picture quality and even the sound quality. Usually, flat screen tvs have weak sound, but this one actually sounds pretty good. The built in Roku interface is awesome. I already had a Roku account, so I just added my login credentials and had instant access to all my content. The Roku interfaces seamlessly with all the other tv functions, so there is no changing intputs. Overall, a great bargain. I definitely would recommend this tv for anyone who wants a lot of television for a great price.

Bought this TV as a Christmas present for my husband and there were so many to choose from. We don't currently have cable service so decided to try a Roku TV. Works great for us. Easy on screen menu gets us to lots of options - local stations through antennae, Hulu, and a number of online options. Easy to set up and easy to add options as you go. Great value and great performance.

I bought this TV for my Husband's ManCave. He wanted to upgrade his gaming systems, and needed a TV with a HDMI port. We opted for the smart TV, because we have Netflix and my husband enjoys watching it. When the kid's came home for Thanksgiving they were so envious. Best Buy had not only a great price, but they were wonderful with answering all of our questions!

We went to Best Buy looking to buy one of two televisions - either the 43" or 48" Insignia televisions which were on sale - and we ended up with this one for the same sale price as the 43". The biggest advantage was the built in wifi (from the Roku), which allows us to not use the Xbox or Chromecast as the receiver. Easy to use controls and setup was a breeze. Picture quality is good. No problems in the month that I've had it.

We're getting older (isn't everyone) and were really pleased to be seeing something better for a change. I read the reviews for this model online and we are very pleased. We have had it only for a few months but are glad we made this purchase

This TV was purchased for my Grandmother to use with some wireless headphones as she's losing her hearing. The Roku interface is really easy to use and offers a ton of channels. The only downside is we purchased this one specifically for the headphone jack, and so far only allows us to hear out of the headphones when they're plugged in (no way for us to switch between speakers and headphones). The aux port is located in an awkward place, which makes this a little big of an inconvenience to plug in and unplug the headphones. Other than that it's great!

And the picture is great. The biggest downfall for this unit is that it brings you to a MENU screen when you first turn it on. I wish it would boot straight to the cable box, or antenna. That way you won't need to SELECT something in order to watch TV. It also necessitates the remote to watch tv.A standard ROKU remote won't do the trick either. You will need to order the INSIGNIA ROKU remote if you need a replacement. But our tv Andy remote continue working just fine two years after the purchase. Highly recommended.

I was hoping Best Buy would run a sale on a 40" television and lucky for me, they did! We have 2 other Insignia televisions and have had no problems with them so was hoping to get another one at a good price, which we did! Purchased this one for the bedroom and absolutely love it! Very easy to hook and set up. Remote is easy to use. Lots of nice features. Great picture and great sound. Happy with our purchase!

It is a great TV for someone on a budget and doesn't need all that fancy stuff other brands like Samsung or LG would have. Basically store brand (at least seems like it), so if you trust Best Buy, go for it. P. S. I don't know if it's just my particular tv or not, but I get this lit black screen delay when I turn it off. Haven't had many HD TV's to really verify so I can't tell if this is something normal among some brands..

The reason why i didn't give it a 5, because one day it just turn off and i tried to turn it back on , it wouldn't i change the batteries that wasn't the problem, I had to unplug it, and then plug it back up, then it came back on i only had it for a month, i hope in the future there want be any major problems

My son broke our 38" flat screen TV which meant I had to replace it. I checked Best Buy and saw they had some 40" sets on sale. I read the descriptions, some of the reviews and checked the prices. It turns out that this one (that I bought) was a "Roku" TV and on sale for about how much I wanted to spend.So I got it. And, it has not disappointed. I'm glad I got it because it was easy to set up and we now can watch all kinds of shows, and You Tube etc. The TV quality is very good too.

Had never owned any Insignia products prior. The price and features on this tv were comparable to more expensive ones. Decided to purchase and I’ve been very satisfied since my purchase back in 2016. Haven’t had any issues and the tv connects without any hiccups to all my devices; ie: fire stick, cable box. When using the tv apps they all load and work every time. I’m very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this tv!!

Great picture, easy to set up. The instructions about the Roku could be a bit more clear. Easy to navigate to channels, but difficult to find a program guide. A little complicated for someone who has never had a smart tv. The Roku is propriety and doesn't offer much explanation. Overall, great tv for the price. Good values.

Bought this to replace a 32" inch TV in the master bedroom, which I appropriated for use as a monitor in my study (the old TV supported VGA in, which I needed there). Very easy to set up, excellent guide, adequate speakers for bedroom use. Picture quality was excellent right out of the box. This is my second Insignia branded TV, good experience with both.

I was more then pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and first set up the television. This is my first smart t.v. and it was a simple walk-thru process that had me up and running in just minutes. The graphics are high quality and sound comes through clear and crisp. I also appreciate that is shows me the signal strength of the antenna for each channel. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade to a smart television.
