• As long as you can still get to the Fire TV home page, you can install the Fire TV remote on your smart phone and it will work the same as the original remote. CAUTION: If you ever perform a full factory reset on your Fire TV, it will require an original remote to be able to access Fire TV. Without that, you won't be able to get back in.
