“Great tv but one problem. When I connected my cable box it would NOT pick up the local channels so I now have NO local channels. It is connected through the "antenna" input as the box does not have and HDMI port. How do I get my regular cable channels?”

It might be either or but in the setting there is an option to search for the local channels and but since you have your cable box plugged into your antenna port, that could be the reason it’s not able to search for the local channels. I would recommend connecting via HDMI to get the most out of the picture and the TV if possible.
