“How do I setup this TV to go to the last live tv channel directly from power on? My 83 year old mother can't remember complex processes, and needs to be able to go directly to the live tv channels without any other remote buttons.”

Try the Power On feature, when enabled, the TV turns on displaying the last used input. Go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. David M. - Insignia Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This feature, although enabled, does not keep the last input. It ALWAYS starts at the menu, requiring me to grab the remote and press enter every single time. Powering on via my cable remote, the remote that came with the TV, or Alexa, always requires me to press the enter (center button) on the TV remote in order to actually Watch the selected input.
